Prince Albert (P.A.) "PaPa" Burgess loved his chickens and roosters! He loved his garden and being outside. Even when he lost his leg from complications of diabetes, he would use his crutches to get to the garden and then scoot up and down the rows. Julion got his love for animals, gardening, and the outdoors from his Dad. We have all kinds of "critters" in our backyard! I love to watch them and from time to time they will stop long enough to l et me get a photo!  I took this photo of PaPa in his garden years ago. I decided to edit the photo in a painterly fashion to make a beautiful print. He caught one of his beautiful roosters to pose for my camera! What a great memory! If you stopped by to visit you would most likely find PaPa in the garden and Nanny in the kitchen unless they were enjoying a conversation under the shade of their carport! Country living at its best!  "PaPa's Rooster", ©Deborah L. Burgess, Memory Prints Photography, 2017.
